Tomorrow wins Finnair Thailand In the past three years the Finnish carrier Finnair has lunched six new destinations in Asia, and now is the time to increase traffic further. "Finnair doubles its traffic from Bangkok to Europe in the fall, and our assignment is to generate more passengers," says Stefan Ronnquist, managing director of The Tomorrow Group. "The earlier work we have done for Finnair in Hong Kong, Singapore and China has been quite successful, so we were asked to handle Bangkok as well. Our pan-Asian presence obviously saves money for clients who sell in several Asian markets." Since Finnair adopted a new Asia strategy in 2000, the carrier has grown dramatically in the region. The main passenger benefit is that Finnair offers the fastest flights to and from 10-20 European cities, depending on which Asian city you choose. Travel and hospitality experience Tomorrow has a strong background within travel and hospitality. "Not only mobile operators are interested. With this system any company could set up an mVoIP service," says Ronnquist. "Our strategy director, Doug Dean, used to be the VP Marketing & Sales of Lausanne Hotel School," says Stefan Ronnquist. "He knows every inch of the travel industry." "Many think travel advertising is about showing nice images of smiling people. That's good for us. With such mediocre competition, it's easier to clearly position our clients." In addition to Finnair, the people at Tomorrow have worked with airlines SAS, American Airlines, and Virgin, as well as with the oneworld airline alliance, two hotels, two ferry lines, and the magazine Travel+Leisure SE Asia. With offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, The Tomorrow Group specializes in business-to-business branding, marketing, and interactive solutions. Some clients are Finnair, Hoganas, Nederman, Scania, Shell, SingPost, Sony, Travelex and ZTE Corporation.
